AudioTools Rebate Program

Since in some cases we have the same app available both as a stand-alone app and as an in-app purchase in AudioTools, you may have downloaded and paid for the same app twice. Because of this, we have made a rebate program that will apply to anyone that purchases one of our hardware products, like iAudioInterface.

Apple does not provide a way for developers to support cross-grades, or even a way for us to track our customers. We do not have records of exactly who has bought our apps and we cannot get this information. Because of this, we have no direct way to provide an upgrade path to AudioTools from customers who have bought our individual apps. There is no way to bring an already purchased app into AudioTools.

We have combined all of our acoustic analysis apps into a single app, AudioTools. This is the app that we have designed to work with iAudioInterface.

AudioTools includes a base set of apps in the initial purchase price, and then has a number of modules that you can buy from within AudioTools, if you decide at some time that you want them. This mechanism, which Apple introduced in OS 3.0, is called "in-app purchasing".

This has created a situation where we have customers who have already bought some or all of our individual apps, and who wish to purchase iAudioInterface, but who understandably do not want to have to pay for our apps again in AudioTools. For these people, we have created the AudioTools Rebate Program.

Here's how it works. After you buy iAudioInterface, download our rebate form and send us the completed form along with email or hard copies of your Apple iTunes store receipts for any of the apps listed below along with your iAudioInterface hardware invoice, and we will send you a rebate for that amount. Then, download AudioTools as usual and buy the modules that you wish.

The apps covered by this program include FFT, ETC, RT60, SPL Graph, and SPL (digital).

Here are the typical rebate amounts for covered modules:

FFT -- $19.95

ETC -- $9.99

RT60 -- $9.99

SPL Graph -- $9.99

SPL (Digital) -- $7.99

The base apps included in AudioTools are not covered in the rebate program, since the AudioTools app is required to communicate with iAudioInterface, and does add significant value on its own:

*** Communications with iAudioInterface, including gain range changes, output mode, and line input source. Set configuration for when iAudioInterface is used with other apps.

*** Audio Scope -- dual-channel calibrated scope.

*** Line Level -- measure dBu, dBV, Vavg, Vp-p,  also includes frequency counter.

*** Calibration -- store central calibration for mic, line inputs, and line output, that works across all acoustic and line level functions.

*** File Transfer -- transfer data files to a PC or Mac.

*** Microphone Monitor -- listen to mic and apply up to 24dB of gain.

*** Audio Calculators -- dB, SPL, Sine Wave, Reactance, Room Modes, and Delay calculators.

*** Recorder -- Record in mono or stereo, sample rates from 8k-48k, and save files in WAV, Apple Lossless or Apple CAF (compressed) formats.

Note that the RT60 function has been replaced by the much more powerful Impulse Response module, which is priced higher than RT60. You can, however, get a rebate for your RT60 purchase price when you buy iAudioInterface.
